# vDesign vs Gamma

> Gamma turns an outline into a presentation, document or site in minutes, on credits. vDesign builds slides and every other design on a free-form canvas, on any model, free for individuals.

## In short

Gamma makes presentations, documents and simple websites from a prompt or an outline. Its
cards flow like a document, it hosts and shares what you make, and its plans run on AI credits.

vDesign is a free-form design canvas for any model. A slide deck is one of the things it makes,
alongside posters, brochures, social posts, brand guidelines and video, and every element on
every slide stays a layer you can move by hand.

## Where each one wins

**Choose Gamma** for the fastest route from an outline to a shareable deck or document, with
hosting, link sharing and viewer analytics built in.

**Choose vDesign** for designs laid out exactly, not only decks; for a deck you keep as a
file that any model can revise; for your own choice of model; and for no credits.

## Questions

### Is vDesign faster than Gamma for a deck?

For a deck from an outline, Gamma is built for exactly that and is very quick. vDesign is for when you want every slide laid out freely, kept as a file, and changed later by any model or by hand.

### Does vDesign export PowerPoint?

Yes. vDesign exports PowerPoint with shapes and text that stay editable, and fonts embedded where their licence allows, as well as PDF, images, HTML and video.
