# Make a café or restaurant menu with AI

> List your dishes and prices and an AI agent lays out a clean, printable menu in vDesign, with every price still text you can change. Free, on the model you choose.

The prompt:

> A one-page A4 menu for a neighbourhood café called Lantern Café: coffee, tea and pastries with prices, short descriptions for the pastries, and the opening hours at the bottom. Calm and elegant.

## How it was made

The agent set the menu's colours, sizes and row spacing as tokens, then wrote the sections in
order: the name and a line under it, coffee and tea side by side with prices aligned on the
right, the pastries on a panel with a short note each, and the hours at the foot. Every row is
placed from the one above it, so adding a drink moves only what is below it.

## Change it in a sentence or by hand

- "Add an iced latte at 4.10" adds a row in the coffee column, aligned with the rest.
- "Make the rows a little roomier" changes one token, and every row follows.
- "Do a winter version with mulled cider and gingerbread" keeps the layout and changes the words.
- Or retype a price, move a section or recolour the panel on the canvas.

## Ask for a better menu

Paste the dishes and prices as you have them, grouped the way you want them read. Say the
size (A4, A5, a chalkboard at 16:9) and the feel in a few words. Then correct what needs it:
it is your menu, not a picture of one.

[Open vDesign](https://getv.design/app/) and paste your menu, or [connect your assistant](https://getv.design/mcp) and ask it there.

## Questions

### How do I update prices?

Retype a price on the canvas, or ask the assistant, for example "put every coffee up by 20 pence". Each price is its own line of text, so nothing else moves.

### Can I print it or put it online?

Export it as PDF or PNG for print, or as HTML or an image for your website and social posts.

### Can it use my café's own colours and fonts?

Yes. Make a brand in vDesign from your website or your files, and the agent designs in its palette, type and rules.
