Terms
Last updated
These terms cover the vDesign web app at getv.design/app, the vDesign desktop app for macOS and Windows, connecting an AI assistant to vDesign, your vDesign account, and this website. vDesign is built by Sagar; "we" means the people who run it, and "you" means you. By creating an account or using vDesign, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy policy explains what we store and why.
Using vDesign
vDesign is free for individuals, and there are no paid plans. The app needs an account, on the web and on desktop, which you can create with an email and password or with Google. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
Acceptable use
Please don't use vDesign to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- make content that infringes someone else's rights, such as their copyright or trademark;
- harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate anyone;
- attack, overload or probe the vDesign service or its accounts, or get around its limits or security;
- break the terms of the AI provider you use through vDesign.
If an account is used this way, we may suspend or close it. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.
Your work stays yours
You own what you make with vDesign: your designs, your prompts and the results. Your designs stay on your device, in your browser or in files you choose, and we don't claim any rights to them. What a connected assistant reads and writes passes through our servers only to reach it, and vDesign AI on a key kept by vDesign runs its turns on our servers and keeps the conversation for 7 days, as the Privacy policy describes.
If you turn on shared usage, you let us use the turns you share, including your prompts, the replies and the designs they worked on, to improve vDesign AI. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Account, and sending stops at once.
AI providers and your keys
vDesign works with an AI provider you choose. You can connect an assistant you already use, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, in the web app or on desktop. You can also run vDesign AI on your own API key with a provider such as Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, DeepSeek or Mistral. A key you add in the desktop app stays on your computer, and its requests go from your computer straight to that provider, or to a model or address of your own. A key you add in the web app is kept by us, encrypted, and each turn on it runs on our servers, which send it to the provider on your instruction and with your key, as the Privacy policy describes. You can remove a key at any time in Settings → Connect.
Either way, the provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to what you send it, and to your key or subscription and its costs. Using your key through vDesign must be allowed by those terms. We aren't responsible for what a provider does or charges.
AI output can be wrong or unexpected. Check a result before you rely on it or publish it.
Provided as is
vDesign is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available, free of bugs, or right for your purpose. Keep your own copies of work that matters to you.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or work, that come from using vDesign.
Ending your account
You can stop using vDesign at any time. To delete your account, email sagar@getv.design, as the Privacy policy describes.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as vDesign changes. When we do, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to how you use vDesign, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using vDesign after a change means you accept the new terms.
